Shared on your terms.
You are paid for the right to use your data. You decide what data to share and which offer to take; the contract sets what a lab may do with it.

Why do AI labs want proprietary data?
AI is learning to do real work: answer the customer, quote the job, fix the defect, close the books. The public internet barely shows how that happens inside a business. Your records do.
What could ours be worth?
Value depends on the data’s coverage, quality, specialization, usage rights and buyer demand. An appraisal identifies potential uses and what would be needed to prepare it for licensing.
Are we selling our data?
The proposed transaction is a license: a buyer pays for agreed rights to use a defined dataset. The contract specifies permitted uses, duration, exclusivity and payment. You review those terms before deciding whether to proceed.
Can we take it back later?
You can stop sharing more data, and a contract can require a lab to delete what it received. Do not assume that deleting source files reverses their use in model training. Agree on permitted uses, retention and any withdrawal process before sharing.
Can we share records that involve our customers?
Only what you have the right to share. Customer contracts, NDAs, vendor licenses and privacy law can all limit it, and some privacy laws treat sharing personal data for money as a sale. We go through this with you, and your counsel, before anything is prepared.
Will labs see our customers' private information?
They should not. Personal and confidential details are masked or removed before a lab sees anything (for spreadsheets, on your own computer before upload), and you review the prepared dataset first. No method is perfect, so we keep what is shared to what the work needs.
Do we have to move or change our tools?
No. We work with the exports your tools already make, and only with the systems you choose to include.
What should I prepare for the first conversation?
Describe your business, record types, source systems, approximate counts and years of history. Flag known restrictions. No raw customer records are needed to start.
Is there a minimum dataset size?
There is no universal minimum. Coverage, specialist context, quality and permitted use matter alongside volume. We assess fit for a potential buyer use before recommending preparation work.
Does an appraisal guarantee a licensing deal?
No. An appraisal identifies potential uses and preparation needs. A deal depends on buyer demand, agreed terms and your approval.
